Please join us in blessing Mersrags Baptist church and helping them spread the love of Christ to their community this Christmas season!
For more than 20 years, our church has had a sister-church relationship with Mersrags Baptist Church, a small church in Mersrags, Latvia. Latvia is a small country between Russia and the Baltic Sea.
Over the years, we’ve sent several groups to help them with construction projects, vacation Bible school, and outreach.
As part of our partnership in years past, we have also sent Christmas gifts, or collected money via the annual Latvia Christmas Giving Tree. We send these items or money to Pastor Janis at Mersrags Baptist Church to help provide gifts to children and families in the community. (Janis works with a social worker to identify needs like toys, warm clothes, food, fuel for heating, medicine, and school supplies)
This year, like last year, instead of a Giving Tree, we will be taking a special offering during the December 8th church service to send to Pastor Janis. Envelopes will be provided for the offering as well as online options.
